Mark Halperin loses the week...

Mark Halperin, stooge of the Time Warner corporation, has declared by fiat that John McCain "won the week"
So let me get this straight, Mark.
In Iraq, Malaki says there needs to be a timetable for withdrawal, undermining the McBush argument.
On the economy, McCain's top economic advisor says that a nation of whiners is in a mental recession.
On social issues, the straight-talking maverick couldn't answer a simple question about insurance companies who cover viagra, not birth control.
On social security, it was published that John McCain thinks the program is a disgrace.
Pew polling came out showing him 8 points behind.
Obama had a Sista Souljah moment with Jesse Jackson attacking him.
But Mark Halperin wants you to forget about all of that because John McCain won the week!
Mark Halperin links to his piece of propaganda from The Page with the headline, "Refining Iraq - and the Race"
In Mark Halperin's fantasyland, Obama's mere use of the word "refinement" has has undermined his candidacy and the old maverick John mcCain suddenly has an opening (because the media so conveniently won't cover John McCain's flip-flops)
It's tempting to call Mark Halperin an idiot.
But he's not.
He's a very smart man.
He knows exactly what he is doing.
He is trying to impose a pro-McCain narrative on this race. If he has to be pollyannish and ignore Gramm, ignore the Jackson fallout, ignore what Malaki said, ignore McCain's third rail shocker, etc...so be it. it's perfectly ok to a pundit like Halperin that perceptions trump reality...because he is in love with his disproportionate ability to shape perceptions.
Why is Mark Halperin playing the Baghdad Bob of the traditional media?
I think he is an ambitious fellow. He knows that the way to adance his career, to endear himself to the Time Warner corporate titans is to slant the news in John McCain's favor.
Now, why should we care so much about Mark Halperin says when he is so obviously biased? Sadly this clown is a conventional wisdom setter in Washington. Other pundits look up to him in order to get their talking points/marching orders.
This ridiculous post is just further proof to me that the corporate media is planning to subvert reality as much as possible to get low-information voters to support McCain.
Mark Halperin, you are the loser of week.
